Make each line comparable
List shell fabric, lining material, insulation type and seam treatment separately. A wipe-clean lining is not proof that seams or the zipper retain liquid. Ask for the proposed construction rather than judging the material from a photograph.
Record capacity in L plus external and internal dimensions in in or cm. State the intended bottle, lunch container or ice-pack arrangement. Nominal volume may not describe the usable space around a curved zip opening.
Specify handles, shoulder strap adjustment, pocket layout and zipper access. Define the intended loaded weight for a sample carry check. A stated rated load needs supporting exact-item test evidence and conditions.
Give artwork placement and dimensions, colors by quantity, individual packaging and carton pack ratio. Request carton dimensions and gross weight for the actual selected style; those figures affect the freight comparison.
For a promotional order, settle print area and color allocation before requesting minimum order quantity. Keep an approved artwork revision with the physical sample so decoration changes are visible.
For an assortment, distinguish compact lunch bags from larger picnic styles. Compare lining access, cleaning instructions and folded storage size. Each color or capacity may have a different minimum quantity.
For a fixed event date, work backward from the US receiving deadline. Sample approval, decoration and transit are separate timing questions. Availability and lead time remain subject to the supplier's written proposal.
Confirm the liner, insulation stack, opening, strap attachment and artwork together. If temperature retention matters, define ambient temperature, starting contents, ice-pack quantity, loading pattern and opening frequency before requesting results. A sample observation under one condition does not establish performance in every use.
